Lysir is a Norway-based biotech upcycling company that transforms discarded resources into high-value, circular products. The team specialises in repurposing surplus carrots from Rogaland into premium supplements, packaging materials, and vodka.
The challenge
Together with Lysir we have set out to pioneer biotech upcycling. Using biological science to turn discarded food into carbon-neutral products. The ambition requires, clarifying product and market focus, and building a credible, investor-ready business to attract growth and have real impact.
What we did
Canoe joined Lysir as a co-founder, shaping the company's strategy, products, and communications from the ground up. Our work includes setting up organisational structures, defining product pillars and value propositions, and translating complex scientific concepts into clear, investor-facing narratives. Together, we're turning big ambitions into practical steps, from product positioning and brand tone to detailed investment materials.

Impact
- Clear product and market focus with defined priority segments and use cases.
- Investor pitches and materials prepared with a strong climate and business narrative.
- Technology validation progressing towards launch, supported by a structured roadmap.
- Organisational foundations in place for scaling, positioning Lysir as a credible climate‑tech investment opportunity.
Why Canoe
Lysir needed a partner who could bridge tech, product strategy, business acumen and organisational design. Canoe combined experience in product and service design, venture building and climate‑oriented business models to co‑create a company that is both scientifically robust and investor‑ready.
